New Crystal Shop Brings Positive Vibes To Lacey
LACEY, NJ — At just 21, Gianni Bellomo has opened up his own store here in Lacey. And he hopes that Impossibly Crystal can make a change in the community.
A Barnegat local, Bellomo told Patch he used to help his mom with her crystal business and decided to branch out and start his own.
"We were in very bad financial shape at the time, and that crystal business saved us from a lot of trouble," Bellomo said. "So I associate crystals with positivity now, and I just think that I should put more of that positive energy into my life and offer everyone else a chance to do the same. "
The store sells anything and everything crystal.
"If it exists in crystal form, I can get my hands on it," he said. He has crystals, minerals, decorative stones, occasionally gemstones and more. Some are raw, some are polished and some are augmented. They can be spheres, towers, geodes, carvings, wands and even more.
Bellomo, a graduate of Ocean County College currently studying online at Thomas Edison State University, said he loves being in Forked River already, though the business has just opened.
He said he hopes his store takes off, not just to make money, but so he can help others.
"I want to use that money to create actually significant positive change for other people and the world around me," Bellomo said. "I want to build a platform and use it to do something good."
Bellomo wants to be able to expand and reach more people.
"I just hope that everything works out," he said. "I hope people love my products, I hope the business/financial side of things proves sustainable, and above all, I hope people give me the opportunity to show how much of a force for positive change I can be."
Impossibly Crystal is located at 136 S. Main St. in Forked River. For store hours and more information, visit their Facebook page.
