Wedding Season

The Wedding Season is an event that takes place during the course of the month of June in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Between June 1st and June 30th, players will be able to assist Harvey on his Photopia island and earn themed wedding rewards.

Wedding Season begins on June 1st, and an announcement will be made by Isabelle. After entering the game, you will receive a phone call from Harvey to join him on Photopia to help him out with a task. This event runs until the end of the month on June 30th, giving you ample time to complete tasks for rewards.

After getting a phone call from Harvey (you must have invited enough villagers to your island for Harvey to appear and introduce himself - thereby unlocking Photopia), head to the Dodo Airlines and ask to take a trip to "Harv's Island" aka Photopia.

Harvey will be speaking to Reese and Cyrus - the owners of the Re-Tail shop from Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The married couple is looking to get some photos for their anniversary, and Harvey will need your help decorating the perfect sets for them.

After you get acquainted, Reese will fill you in that she wants you to help structure a photo shoot to recreate scenes from their wedding. Helping with this, Cyrus has constructed special wedding-themed furniture you can use to help build the set out - located in the Event tab.

Each day, Reese will have a different photo theme that she'll want you to construct, and they can include the following themes:

Reese will give you a few hints of the type of furniture or colors they want to have in the photo, so be sure to take these into account when you begin your decorating.

Once you've decorated out your photo session to the best of your ability, talk to Reese again and let them know you're ready to begin (taking photos before this point won't actually count!)

Once you've gotten permission to become the photographer, enter photo mode and set up for a good looking shot of the couple (and press - to remove yourself from the shot too!). If she likes it, she'll give you a new item from Cyrus, and they will all be wedding-themed!

Plus, you can also collect Heart Crystals from Reese, which you can then trade to Cyrus for more rewards. The amount of Heart Crystals you can receive will depend on how well you've placed furniture, used colors, and utilized wedding-themed furniture.

Try to stick with a setup that utilizes mostly wedding items, as using too many other items may not make Reese happy. If she's not as happy, she may give 5-7 hearts, but if you are diligent in your work, you can usually get 8-11 hearts! This can be done once for each day of the month that you return to Harv's Island to help them with more photoshoots.

Each time you return, Reese and Cyrus will have you alternate between setting up photo shoots for the Ceremony and Reception themes - and each time, Cyrus will provide a few more items for you to use, and let you buy them using Crystal Hearts after the shoot is complete.

Upon your sixth visit to the photo shoot, where you'll be asked to set up another Reception theme, Reese will ask to actually recreate the reception party by inviting villagers from your island to take part! You won't need to take a photo this time (though you still can if you want). Once you decorate the room, and add villagers in the item menu by scrolling all the way to the right, talk to Reese or take your place before pressing + to start the party, and you'll be able to take as many photos as you like during the festive scene!

Each time you complete a photoshoot request from Reese and Cyrus, you'll receive a random wedding season-related item from Reese, as well as up to 11 Heart Crystals. You can then trade these to Cyrus on the spot for the following items:

After your sixth visit, and inviting your villagers to attend Reese's recreation of their wedding reception party, the couple will thank you with a special item - a Reese and Cyrus Photo Plate.

Upon your seventh visit, speak to Harvey to gain his thanks, and a Wedding Fence DIY Recipe. Reese and Cyrus can still interacted with - though now there will be no set photo theme. However, you'll get a Wedding Wand DIY Recipe. Speak to Cyrus after this photo set to unlock the rest of the wedding themed items you can buy using Crystal Hearts. Though you'll be able to continue returning to take more photos for the rest of the month, there will be no additional rewards.

Some Wedding Season items are only available for purchase at the Able Sister's Shop and are available in June just like the other items. Below, we'll list their names and prices!

In addition to the new seasonal wedding Able Sisters clothing items, another four items can now be ordered from the Special Goods section of Nook Shopping throughout the month of June.
