This Breathtaking Holiday Lights Display Is Hidden In Rural Maine

Nov 08, 2023

Sometimes, we forget how many cool things there are hidden in rural Maine. Yes, our bigger towns and cities have a lot to offer. But, our small towns have a lot to offer, too.

For example, tucked away in the town of Hartland, there is an amazing Christmas / Holiday lights display that is worth the trip.

Crystal reached out to tell us all about Candy Cane Corner.

Now in its fifth year, the display keeps getting bigger and bigger. The display, located at 615 Athens Road in Hartland, has over 100 inflatables, thousands of lights set to music, and more.

Crystal said that it has gotten so big that, this year:

we had to upgrade to 200amp service back in November! CMP joked with us and said he could see why we needed to upgrade... watching as we moved a bunch of lights and decorations for him and the electrician! I think they're just waiting for the electric bill to come in January; just as we are.

The attraction is open from dark until 8 PM every night till December 31st. Get more details HERE

Crystal goes on to say that they really love the community and that this is not the only even they do.

We also have a huge Halloween display and drive thru trick-or-treating event for kids every year called Monster Mashen On The Road To Athens. We have been on WABI news for a new program we started, A Smile For Students, back in February for Valentine's Day. For that, we bought and distributed 2,100 Valentines with Lollipops/Pencils to literally EVERY student in our district and even some staff!

If you know of any community events we should be talking about, let us know. Just message us through our app or on Facebook.
