Laredo police: Man cut his wife with a knife

A man cut his wife with a knife when he tried to scrape off a tattoo from her neck, according to an arrest affidavit.
Ignacio Aleman, 37, was charged with aggravated assault with a date, family, household member with a weapon.
An aggravated assault was reported on Nov. 13 in the 2800 block of La Banda Drive. A woman stated that her husband, Aleman, had assaulted her and cut her hand with a kitchen knife, states the affidavit.
Police said she did have a minor cut to her right hand, and red marks to her neck and face.
"(The woman) continue to advise police that Mr. Aleman had grabbed a kitchen knife and wanted to scrape off a tattoo that (she) had on her neck," states the affidavit.
Aleman cut her right hand when she blocked him from scraping her neck. Aleman then hit her on her face and neck area, court documents state.
Police then spoke to Aleman. He stated that the argument started when someone sent him a photo of his wife messaging or talking to another male, according to court documents.
