Crystal Mountain unveils Spa Days lineup with special rates

THOMPSONVILLE, MI - As the calendar gets ready to flip to fall, Crystal Mountain is announcing the return of its Crystal Spa Days, starting Sept. 1.

This lineup of special rates on some of the resort's most popular treatments - think deep-tissue massages, facials and pedicures - is available to overnight guests as well as those who book appointments as part of a daytrip to Crystal Mountain.

On the spa menu are 50-minute massages and facials that start at $79, with nail services starting at $49. One of the advantages of Crystal's separate spa complex is people who book a treatment or two can then stay to enjoy the indoor relaxation lounge and its outdoor hot tub garden, turning an appointment into a mini spa day.

Spa Days specials run from Sept. 1 to Nov. 29.

"Spa Days is a wonderful time to welcome back our guests, many of whom have not had a spa treatment since the pandemic began," said Gretchen Schnell, Crystal Spa's manager. "COVID-19 has taught us that staying healthy is of utmost importance, and wellness is an important part of that."

Crystal Mountain Spa's lavender-mint collection is infused with its signature scent.

As with many businesses, Crystal Mountain's spa staff have made changes for guests’ health and safety in the coronavirus area. All guests must wear masks and adhere to social distancing. Additionally, spa technicians have been trained in COVID-19 protocols. All the spa's treatment rooms have HEPA air purifiers and the resort recently installed "air scrubbing" technology in the ventilation system.

Here is the Crystal Spa Days Menu, with a description from the resort of services available:

Relaxation Massage: Full-body relaxation massage, consisting of smooth long strokes with light to moderate pressure.

Facial: Whether your goal is to eliminate hyperpigmentation, reduce skin redness, clear away acne or diminish the visible signs of aging, an Eminence Organic's VitaSkin solution is an ideal start to naturally healthy skin. Your facial is customized based on your skin care needs and includes an invigorating Hungarian hand and arm massage.

Foot Massage: Lie back and float away with this relaxing massage focused entirely on feet and lower legs.

Nirvana Massage: This deeply revitalizing treatment uses aromatherapy to unwind the body, reboot the mind and transform stress into balance. Stress is eased out of tension-bound muscles with long connective full body strokes from ankle to shoulder allowing the receiver to experience a sense of wholeness.

Deep Tissue Massage: An excellent treatment for sports enthusiasts, this restorative massage involves a highly therapeutic bodywork technique that incorporates slower strokes, while targeting specific areas to work the deeper layers of muscle fibers. An anti-inflammatory blend of arnica, rosemary and basil melts away tension, easing tight muscles and soreness.

Crystal Stone Massage: This treatment blends the therapeutic properties of heated basalt stones with Swedish massage techniques to deeply penetrate tight muscles, improve circulation and promote a sense of well-being.
