Twisted Entertainment, Barbados’ leading event management and entertainment company, is bringing its well-attended Tipsy Barbados music festival to Miami for the first time this weekend.

Afrobeats sensation and Grammy Award winner Burna Boy is slated to headline the festival.

Coinciding with Miami Carnival, Tipsy Music Festival will take place at Bayfront Park Friday, Oct. 7. Doors open at 3 p.m. and performances will go on until 11 p.m.

The all-white-dress party will also feature performances by Skinny Fabulous, Teejay, Machel Montano Voice, Hypasounds, A Team Band and renowned Caribbean DJs such as Tony Mix, Puffy, Jus Jay and Travis World.

"We hope to give you a taste of all things multicultural and want to make Tipsy Music Festival Miami an unforgettable experience," said Crystal Cunningham, a spokesperson for the festival, in a statement. "We are bringing the best Caribbean and African acts that music has to offer."

Burna Boy, born as Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, is fresh off a tour for his sixth studio and the summer-debuted album "Love, Damini." The Nigerian artist's first stop for the Love, Damini Summer Tour was at Twisted Entertainment's annual event in Barbados earlier this year at the National Botanical Garden.

It was the first time the singer, songwriter and producer visited the island.

The album set records as the highest-debuting album in France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and on Billboard 200. One of its singles, "Last Last," was on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for more than two months and is now one of the No. 1-trending audios on TikTok and Instagram.

"Every year we go back to the drawing board and try to figure out how we are going to top the previous Tipsy experience," the event's promoters told Loop Magazine back in July. "[Burna Boy's] on fire right now, taking the world by storm ... and it's crazy that he [opened] his tour in Barbados! ... Safe to say we’re coming back after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic with an explosion and we couldn't be more excited."

Tickets start at $107 and can be purchased at TipsyMusicFestival.com.
