Acura Confirms Performance Figures For 2024 Integra Type S, Makes 320 Horsepower and Debuts In April » CAR SHOPPING » Car

The 2024 Acura Integra Type S is shaping up to be a potent introduction to summer when the spicy compact makes its way to dealerships. In the meantime, Acura has continued to deliver a slow wave of teasers including this latest one which reveals that the Integra Type S will make over 300-hp while also confirming that it will be debuting next month.

A key pillar for the upcoming Integra Type S is performance, with the company revealing that the model will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 320-horsepower. This four-cylinder is also used in the Honda Civic Type R, but the Acura's makes 5 more horsepower which we suspect is perhaps due to minor tweaks to the intake and exhaust system that the Integra received. The 310 lb-ft of torque figure is the same as the Honda and it will also come with a manual transmission as its lone transmission choice.

Acura also confirmed that the model will be unveiled during the Acura Grand Prix at Long Beach April 14-16. Look for this beefier Integra to be unveiled early in the weekend, with Acura using the event as an impromptu marketing opportunity to show the car to as any people as possible. We hope that Acura will also give potential buyers a dynamic demonstration of the sports car in action especially since the teaser video below promises an exhaust note that will be worth listening to when the compact makes its presence known in urban driving,

We look forward to having seat time ourselves in the Integra Type S in the future especially to find out if the model can replicate some of the unique charm and performance that helped make 1990s era examples popular with young enthusiasts all over the U.S.
