Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
Ultimas Crystals are rare Master Rank ores needed for endgame builds in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. It's time to discuss how to find them.
Monster Hunter games are well known for not only being all about hunting monsters but also collecting various items such as ores, plants, and more. In Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, new ores were released into the game to upgrade new armor and weapons to the master rank.

One of which is called the Ultimas Crystal, a rare crystal used in rarity eight and above armor and weapons. This guide will help Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak players easily find this exclusive crystal.
There are several ways of obtaining the Ultimas Crystal throughout the game. Some can be earned via quests, while others can be dropped by only one monster in the game, the Elder Dragon, Chameleos. However, continuously hunting a Chameleos can be pretty annoying and an overall waste of time.
The method to use instead is much simpler and less time-consuming to do. Players simply need to speak with the quest damsel in the Elgado Outpost. From there, choose the option to go on an expedition into the Jungle on Master Rank. Unless the player intends to fight the local monsters, no preparation is necessary.
When loading into the map, immediately open the map and focus the icon on the shining minerals. Unlike typical ores, Ultimas Crystals can only be mined from the white mining outcrops, not the blue ones. Be wary of monsters walking around the map, as they will attack if the player sticks around them for too long. Keep mining the shining mine outcrops until an Ultimas Crystal is claimed.
On the other hand, as mentioned before, the other way of obtaining Ultimas Crystals is to go up against the Elder Dragon, Chameleos. This isn't a poor method, as it can kill two birds with one stone if the player needs Chameleos materials for its gear. So, what's the best way to farm Chameleos?

To farm Chameleos efficiently, players must first and foremost choose the Master Rank 8-star quest, Beyond The Silence. This quest will take players with defeating only Chameleos, though there will be some other monsters roaming around. Its main weaknesses are the Fire and Dragon elements, and it's highly resistant to the Ice and Water elements.
Unlike most Elder Dragons, Chameleos is a relatively straightforward fight and is more of an annoyance than anything else. Its main gimmick, the ability to turn invisible, is more so teleporting back and forth, which is annoying when trying to execute certain weapon combos.
Otherwise, Chameleos is known for its Poison-based attacks, and the recommendation is to bring plenty of Antidotes to help alleviate the Poison damage. With the Poison gone, Chameleos should be a short fight for most Master Rank Hunters. After defeating it and any monster parts the player might have earned, an Ultimas Crystal will also be rewarded.
