Gisele Bündchen Re
Gisele Bündchen gave a lesson in sustainable fashion while hosting a charity gala in Miami over the weekend.
The supermodel threw her annual Luz Alliance Fund Miami Gala benefiting the Brazil Foundation this past Saturday. The event, which she founded in 2020, provides humanitarian relief to families in Brazil and supports environmental conservation and rehabilitation projects.
For the occasion, Bündchen stayed true to her mission to help the Earth, and re-wore an elegant white Stella McCartney dress she debuted in 2019. The one-shoulder column dress fell down to her feet and featured a swooping neckline. Styled by sustainable fashion stylist Evet Sanchez, Bündchen wore the dress with a matching silky ivory clutch, silky green peep-toe heels, and diamond-and-emerald earrings. She wore natural makeup and her signature beach waves.
The first time Bündchen wore the dress was at the Hollywood for Science Gala on February 21, 2019, at a private residence in Los Angeles. At the time, the piece also featured a long cape falling from the sleeve on one side. Sanchez said the cape was removed for her latest appearance to give the dress a fresh look.
At the gala this weekend, the model and mom of two auctioned off the dress for $48,000 to help raise funds for reforestation efforts in her native Brazil.
"I used to think how can I make a difference?" Bündchen captioned an Instagram post featuring photos from the event. "I am just one person in this enormous world and there is just too much to do, but early on I understood that to amplify change it is essential to join forces and that [through] dedication and collaboration everything is possible. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone who was at the Luz Alliance Gala yesterday, helping us to support nature. Together we were able to raise funds that will be help so many people and projects in Brazil."
